About
Quotes are hard to compare. We make it simple.
ScopeCheck is a small, independent tool for UK homeowners, built by Dashient Ltd.
Getting several quotes for the same job is easy. Knowing which one to accept is not. Every trader prices the job slightly differently — one includes VAT, one doesn't; one lists scaffolding, another leaves it out; one promises an insurance-backed guarantee, another says nothing at all.
ScopeCheck reads each quote against your own job list — not against the other quotes — and shows you, line by line, what each trader includes, what they leave out, and what the differences are actually worth in pounds. Every finding points back to the exact wording in the quote, so you can check it yourself.
We don't recommend traders and we don't take commissions from anyone. We have no interest in which quote you choose — only that you choose it with the full picture in front of you.
A note on honesty: ScopeCheck uses an AI model to read and structure quotes, and AI can make mistakes. That's why every conclusion in a report is tied to the original wording, and why we always tell you to confirm the work, costs and VAT with your trader before signing anything.
Why we built it
Built for homeowners, not traders.
Most quote sites earn money from tradespeople. ScopeCheck doesn't. We're paid only by the homeowner, so the report works for you. It's built and run in London by Dashient Ltd. If something in your report looks wrong, email us and a real person will look at it.

What we stand for
Your job list comes first
Every quote is checked against the list of work you defined — not against what another trader happened to write.
Evidence, not opinion
Every conclusion points to the exact wording in the quote, so you can verify it yourself before you sign.
Like-for-like money
Prices are put on the same VAT basis so £6,900 without VAT and £8,150 with it are finally comparable.
