ScopeCheck is an AI-assisted quote comparison tool for UK homeowners. It reads the quotes you already have and brings the work included, exclusions, prices and questions into one report. It does not find or book traders.

A chat can give a useful first read, and for two typed quotes it may be enough. What it won’t give you is the same answer twice, a reference to the wording behind each claim, your own job list as the starting point, VAT put on the same basis, or a dated report you can print and share. ScopeCheck runs on an AI model too — what you’re paying for is the structure and the evidence around it.

Add two to five quotes by pasting text, uploading PDFs or uploading photos of paper quotes. You can add up to four photos to each quote. For the best results, use clear, well-lit images with every page visible. Image-only PDFs may need to be uploaded as photos instead.

You can compare quotes for roofing, kitchens, bathrooms, extensions, loft conversions, windows, driveways, electrics, heating and other home jobs. Quotes should relate to the same project; differences in materials and the work included are flagged rather than assumed to be equivalent.

Yes. Save a job list with your job details and the items you want included, then select it for a new comparison. The report checks those items first, so you can see how each quote matches your requirements.

If a trader sends a revised quote for the same job within 30 days of your full report, re-run that comparison free. Same job and same traders only — a new job needs a new comparison.

The report separates quoted prices from the estimated cost of missing work and adds VAT the same way to every quote where possible. A 20% VAT assumption may be used when relevant; it is not a determination of the correct tax treatment. Estimates are not trader prices — confirm the work, VAT and total in writing.

No. AI can miss details or misread documents. ScopeCheck helps organise your decision, but does not inspect the property, verify a trader or provide legal, tax or surveying advice. Check the source wording and speak to a qualified professional for complex or high-value work.

Yes. In any report, open an item a quote leaves out and type the price you've been given. ScopeCheck shows each quote's total with your prices added.

No. Both plans are one-off payments — nothing renews. One project must be used within 60 days; the Renovation pack within 6 months. After that, unused comparisons expire and you can buy again whenever you need to.

One report comparing 2–5 quotes for the same job. Revised quotes for the same job within 30 days are re-checked free; a different job needs a new comparison.

All purchases are final — comparisons are available as soon as you buy. If a report fails or misreads your quotes, email us within 30 days and we'll re-check it free. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Payments are handled securely by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, which also issues your receipt and handles VAT.

Your quotes and reports are saved to your account. Quotes are processed by an AI service to produce the analysis. If you share a report link, anyone with that link can read that report — including evidence excerpts, but not the original uploaded quote text or your other reports. You can stop sharing at any time.

Not to start. Compare 2 quotes as a guest and see a free preview straight away. The full report — every difference, the real cost of each quote once missing work is added, the questions to ask each trader, and PDF, print and sharing — comes with a paid plan. You'll need a free account to buy and keep your reports. Guest previews are deleted after 30 days.
