Terms of Service
ScopeCheck is provided by Dashient Ltd (“we”, “us”). When you use ScopeCheck, you are contracting with Dashient Ltd. By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms.
Dashient Ltd is registered in England & Wales under company number 17262776. Our registered office is 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.
For account, report or plan support, email [email protected]. Formal legal enquiries can be sent to [email protected]. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, and our Cookies Policy explains browser storage.
1. The service
ScopeCheck is an AI-assisted tool that reads home-improvement quotes you provide and produces a comparison report of scope, exclusions, prices and questions to ask. It does not find, inspect, verify or recommend contractors.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old, or have authority to act for the organisation you use ScopeCheck for.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your sign-in details confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Plans, payment and our reseller
You can run one free preview of 2 quotes, which shows part of the report. The full report needs a paid plan. Paid plans are one-off purchases as described on our pricing page. Purchased comparisons must be used within the period shown at purchase (60 days for One project, 6 months for Renovation pack). Unused comparisons expire after that and are not refunded. Existing purchases retain the terms shown when they were bought.
All purchases are final. Comparisons are added to your account as soon as you buy, so we don't refund unused or expired comparisons, or changes of mind. Report not right? If a report fails or misreads your quotes, email [email protected] within 30 days and we'll re-check it free. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund terms are set out in Paddle’s Buyer Terms. See also our refund policy.
4. Acceptable use
You must not misuse ScopeCheck. In particular, you must not:
- use it for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or to send spam;
- upload content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes anyone’s intellectual property or privacy;
- upload illegal, hateful or harmful content, malware, or attempt to manipulate or “jailbreak” the AI;
- interfere with security, probe or scan the service, scrape it, or circumvent usage limits;
- reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service.
5. Your content and AI outputs
You keep ownership of the quotes and information you upload, and you are responsible for having the right to upload them. You give us a limited licence to store and process that content only to provide the service, including sending it to our AI provider to produce your report. Reports generated for you are yours to use.
AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. Reports are a decision aid, not legal, tax, financial or surveying advice. Always check the original quote wording and confirm scope, costs and VAT with your contractor. You are responsible for how you use the outputs.
Software-generated allowances for missing or unstated work are indicative market estimates, not contractor charges or predictions of your final bill. Optional upgrades and restricted coverage may be deliberate scope choices, not omissions. Prices you enter yourself are your own assumptions. Confirm any additional work, hourly rates, tax treatment, access and compliance requirements in writing before signing.
If you share a report, anyone holding its link can read it, including evidence excerpts and your entered prices. You can stop sharing, but cannot recall copies already downloaded or printed. Check for personal or confidential information before sharing.
If you believe content on ScopeCheck infringes your rights, email [email protected] with details of the content and your rights. We will review and remove it where appropriate. We may suspend accounts that repeatedly infringe.
6. Content moderation
We may remove or restrict content, refuse or filter outputs, and suspend accounts where we reasonably believe these terms are being breached.
7. Our intellectual property
Dashient Ltd owns ScopeCheck and all related software, documentation and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your own purposes within your plan.
8. Service level and warranties
We work to keep ScopeCheck available and accurate, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Liability
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, data or goodwill, or for decisions you make about contractors. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using ScopeCheck at any time. When an account is closed, its reports and quotes are deleted.
11. General
You may not transfer your account without our consent; we may transfer these terms as part of a reorganisation or sale. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. We may update these terms and will show the date of the latest version above. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights where you live.
