Cookies Policy
ScopeCheck is provided by Dashient Ltd. This policy explains cookies and similar browser storage used when you visit ScopeCheck, sign in or purchase comparisons. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy.
What cookies and browser storage do
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Local storage holds information for a website on your device and can persist until removed. Both can help a service remember a secure sign-in session. Browser storage is separate from the quotes, reports and templates saved to your account.
Essential sign-in storage
ScopeCheck stores authentication session information in your browser so you can stay signed in and access your own reports. Depending on how the site is hosted, authentication can use local storage or session cookies. Session information is refreshed as needed; local storage may remain until you sign out or clear it.
This storage is needed for account features, rather than advertising. Blocking or deleting it may sign you out or prevent sign-in from working. Never share authentication storage with anyone.
Google sign-in and Paddle checkout
- Google may use cookies on its sign-in service to verify your identity and protect your account when you choose Continue with Google. See Google’s Privacy Policy and cookie information.
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, may use cookies or similar technologies in checkout for payments, fraud prevention and transaction security. See Paddle’s Privacy Policy. Its notices describe its own storage and retention.
These providers control storage on their own services. Signing out of ScopeCheck does not necessarily sign you out of Google or clear Paddle’s cookies.
Your choices
Analytics and marketing cookies are optional and stay off unless you turn them on. The cookie banner lets you Accept all, Reject all or Choose cookies to pick each type. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings in the footer of every page. Turning a type off removes its cookies from scopecheck.co.uk. Essential account storage is not an optional preference.
Analytics cookies (optional)
If you allow analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use ScopeCheck so we can improve it. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_… that last up to 2 years. It measures which pages are visited, device type, approximate location and how people find the site. Google Analytics 4 does not store your IP address, and we never send it report links, share links, email addresses or quote content. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Marketing cookies (optional)
If you allow marketing, we use advertising tags to measure whether our adverts lead to visits, free previews and purchases, and so that Google and Meta can show ScopeCheck adverts to people who have visited the site:
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, for Facebook and Instagram) — sets cookies such as _fbp (up to 3 months) and, if you arrive from a Meta advert, _fbc (up to 3 months). See Meta’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Ads (Google Ireland Ltd) — sets cookies such as _gcl_au (up to 3 months) to link ad clicks to visits and purchases. See how Google uses advertising cookies.
These tags receive the page visited (with report and share links removed), your device and browser details and events such as starting a free preview, opening checkout or completing a purchase, with the plan price. We never send them your email address, name, quotes or report content. Meta and Google may combine this with information they already hold about you under their own policies, for example if you are signed in to Facebook or Google.
Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Ltd) to load the analytics and marketing tags above. It does not set cookies of its own and only loads after you allow analytics or marketing. If you reject both, it is not loaded.
Managing cookies and storage
- Use your browser’s privacy or site settings to view, block or delete cookies and stored site data.
- Sign out of ScopeCheck to end the current account session on this browser.
- Manage Google and Paddle storage separately through your browser and those providers’ settings.
Clearing browser storage does not delete your ScopeCheck account or saved reports. For help with account or data deletion, email [email protected]. Formal privacy requests can also be sent to [email protected].
