How ScopeCheck works
Bring the quotes you already have. Leave with a clearer list of differences and questions to settle before paying a deposit.
1. Bring your quotes
Choose the type of home job and add a town or area if you want to. Add two quotes for your free preview. A full comparison can include up to five quotes for the same job, from different traders.
Paste email or document text, upload a PDF, or add clear photos of paper quotes. Each quote can have up to four photos. Include all pages and any exclusions or separate schedules. If a PDF is an image scan with no readable text, try photographs instead.
Give every trader the same requirements. Signed-in users can save a job list and select it before comparing. Keep a different project separate; alternative materials for the same job can be compared as long as the differences are clear.
2. See the whole picture
ScopeCheck reads the quotes and brings their wording into one report. The item table distinguishes work included, partly included, excluded, not mentioned and unclear. You can check the evidence rather than accepting a conclusion without its source.
The price table separates quoted prices from the estimated cost of missing work. VAT is added the same way to every quote where possible; assumptions and unclear tax treatment are flagged. Estimates are not offers from a trader, and the original quotes remain the documents you must check.
A market price check uses named, dated UK guides where a suitable benchmark exists. It is a broad reference, not a valuation of your property or a guarantee that a particular price is fair.
3. Settle the details
Read the important flags, look at the differences and send the suggested questions to each trader. Ask for written answers or revised quotes. An omission in the wording is not proof that the trader will refuse to do the work.
A full report can be saved as a PDF, printed and shared through a read-only link. You can stop sharing, but cannot recall copies somebody has already saved. Your original uploaded quotes are not exposed through that link.
Free preview or full report?
The free preview of two quotes shows the bottom line, quoted prices, counts, the first two flags and the first four item rows. Guests and free accounts see the same preview. Create a free account to keep your reports and buy a plan.
A paid comparison gives you all the differences, estimates, trader questions, PDF, printing and sharing. Buying a plan uses a purchased comparison to unlock your preview. Read the plan details for expiry, adding quotes and revised-quote re-check terms.
What this does not do
ScopeCheck does not find traders, inspect your property, certify work or provide legal, tax or surveying advice. AI can misread a page or miss a detail. Check the source wording and ask a qualified professional about significant technical uncertainties.
